ISBN/ VLB/Registration of titles (books)

All titles printed in our house get an international standard book number (ISBN). Thus they are available and can be ordered worldwide. Moreover, the titles are registered at the "Verzeichnis Lieferbarer Bücher" (VLB) at the "Börsenverein des deutschen Buchhandels". This register can be used by the book trade as print and online version, as well as on CD-Rom. Besides, interested readers may get access and all necessary information on www.buchhandel.de.

Our digital archive is continually updated and new titles are registered every week. On our homepage, every title can be found as a whole text version including the table of contents, an abstract, a personal profile of the author, reviews, press releases and journalistic comments. The titles are categorized into special academic fields; all terms and items can be found by the search engine.

In Addition to the ISBN, online-titles receive an URN-number – a sort of digital barcode in the form of Uniform Resource Names (URN) that guarantees a quick and cost-saving internet publication with a reliable reference that can easily be found in the world wide web.

The data material that we transfer to Die Deutsche Bibliothek is available in the German National-Bibliography under http://www.d-nb.de/. One print version of every title is sent to the Deutsche Bibliothek at Frankfurt am Main and to the Niedersächsische Landesbibliothek in Hannover.

On our homepage, www.cuvillier.de we offer you a complete catalogue that contains every single title and a detailed catalogue which is categorized by specialty fields with whole text, table of contents, abstracts, author profiles, reviews, press releases, advertising material and journalistic comments.

Every new publication gets its entry in one scientific field (with the above material added) and gets updated every week.

As a matter of course for us, all titles of our house are registered at online book sellers like “Amazon”.

Information Learned Journals

Our data set presently contains over 310 learned journals and is regularly updated. They receive detailed information from us about new and existing titles. Thus the name recognition of our authors continuously increases.

Press releases

For specific titles we work together with journalists on press releases that we transfer directly to exclusive print media in print- and online version.

Information Book Shops

We inform all book shops (registered in our data base) about new and existing/archived titles (titles released from the price fixing) every two weeks.

Information universities, deaneries, institutes, libraries, MPIs, Frauenhofer Institutes

Our data base contains all German-speaking institutes of universities (approx. 4210), libraries, Max-Planck-Institutes and Frauenhofer Institutes. We inform them about new publications, prices and new offerings at Cuvillier Publishing House every two weeks. The purchase department of the German-speaking libraries get this information as well.
