Your Original

For the printing of your manuscript, we need a digital original as PDF, Postscript file or a one-sided paper print in DIN A4 format ready for printing. We are able to accept other data originals upon request. You can send your data file on disc, CD-Rom, ZIP-disc or, as an E-mail-Attachment.

Please be aware of the following guidelines while formatting your text:

• The margins of your page should be at least 2cm on the left and right side.
• The page numbers should be either centred or alternately appear on the left and right side. Even page numbers have to be on the left side and uneven page numbers on the right side.
• The font size should not be too small, as your original manuscript is to be minimised from A4 to A5. Therefore, we recommend you choose a font size of 12pt or larger. (except top line and footer).
• The text block should be centred.

Please send the data carriers together with the print and publication order to our mailing address. If you are sending your request for printing as an E-mail-attachment, please include the following information:

• Mailing/delivery address
• Phone and E-Mail contact information
• Number of copies you desire
• Book cover selection
• Number of pages of your manuscript
• How many coloured pages and on which pages are coloured (using the exact page numbers in the document)

Upon receipt of your original manuscript, we print a proof of it and send it to you on either the same day or the following working day. With the same mailing we will send the contract, invoice, the declaration of the number of copies of the first print and the form for the declaration at the VG-Wort. We can set up the number of copies of the first print according to the guidelines of your university.

After you have reviewed the proof and the cover sample on 80g paper and you would like to proceed, we will require your written permission to print with by an E-mail or letter. If you have corrections/changes, please send us your modifications together with the contract.

Once we receive permission to print, it takes only 4-5 working days to complete your book. We will send your finished book to the delivery address you provided us. You can also pick-up the books directly at our publishing house in Göttingen.
