Dr. Miguel-Ángel Alva-González

Miguel Ángel Alva González (Mexico City, 1977) is a Junior Researcher in the Department of Economic and Technological Change at the Center for Development Research (ZEF) of the University of Bonn, Germany. Previously, he worked at the Mexican National Institute of Ecology as a Deputy Director in the Research on Environmental Policy Division. He studied Economics at the Technological Institute of Monterrey (ITESM), Mexico, earned his MSc in Environmental and Resource Economics from the University College London, and obtained a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Bonn. His recent research focuses on sustainable transport, consumption behaviour, and urban development. He has been granted by the Mexican National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
